There are so many reasons why, when looking back at Erin & Lee’s summer beach wedding photos at the Grand Traverse Resort, that this day immediately makes me start smiling. And not a casual grin, I am talking lips pulled back to my ears because there are so many precious moments that occurred during this day, that instantly uplifts and energizes my day!!

The day started out as a typical northern Michigan summer day, pure sun reflecting off the shimmering waters of Lake Michigan. Guests, friends and family gathered around the beach club of the resort, shaking out their shoes that were already filling with our white sand, eagerly awaiting Erin to walk down the aisle. And as soon as I saw her appear – gown fluttering in the sweet breeze, adorable puppies strutting beside her, a smile beaming across her cheeks – I knew that this day, would go down in history as one of the best weddings ever!!!

But to me, there was one defining moment above all else, that completely and utterly melts my heart, every time I look at their wedding images…it was a moment when there was so much overwhelming joy during the ceremony, and Lee pulled out his own handkerchief to wipe the gentle tears away from Erin’s cheeks, where I just melted into my own puddle of tears!! Seriously, how CUTE is that??!!

To Erin & Lee: Your wedding day was truly one for the history books (or as a Notebook sequel!) You have uplifted me, inspired me, in so many ways and I am so incredibly thankful to have been your wedding photographer on this gorgeous day!!!!! Give your fur babies big hugs for me too!!!
