Tips For the Day Before Your Wedding
Do not drink alcohol. Yes, I said it. Or at least, if you are going to drink, go very very light! Alcohol makes us ladies retain water, which will not only make us bloated for the next day, but it also can produce uneven pigment in the skin, which can result in more makeup and touchups throughout the day. It also leads to bigger pours, as we excrete the access alcohol through our skin.
Steam your wedding dress and hang it up outside of the bag, so that the layers can acclimate to the air and humidity conditions of your environment. If you find that your wedding dress has a lot of static, try small amounts of hair spray or drier sheets to reduce the friction.
Do not eat salty foods — for the same reasons listed in the “no alcohol” category — salt makes us bloat. Enough said :)
Take some time to be by yourself and simply relax. Whether it is meditation, yoga, or simply listening to good music, taking a beat from the rush of last minute wedding plans can help relieve any tension or stress, and gather your thoughts.
Sleep, sleep, and more sleep. It is so hard to sleep the night before your wedding (hundreds of things are usually running through your head at this point) but sleep is so important to help you remain relaxed and energetic for the entire day.
