Glen Arbor, Michigan is the perfect spot for a wedding, especially since it was named the Most Beautiful Place in America. Raised in Northern Michigan, Cass and Pete knew that they wanted the simple, most beautiful reflections of Glen Arbor to be tied into their wedding day. Not only did they represent the very essence that describes the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, but they incorporated a few of their own DIY wedding elements themselves-they brewed their own beer, grew their own sunflower bouquets, and they hosted the entire reception at their own barn. The day started off in Cassidy’s wonderful friend and bridesmaid-Katie’s-home, overlooking the peaceful waters of Glen Lake. From there, we traveled down to the very heart of Glen Arbor on the Lake Street Beach, where Cass and Pete saw each other for the first time, amongst cheers from close friends and family. Wedding photographing this day was a breeze-the turquoise waters of Lake Michigan made for a fun setting for both the wedding party and the reception. From there, we traveled to Pete’s family barn, where we delved into the refreshing home-made brewed beer and the delectable goodies from Everything Gal. The laughter and relaxing atmosphere amongst Cass and Pete’s reception reflected in their easy smiles, warm embraces, and intimate hugs.
