One of Lake Michigan’s premiere wedding locations for Northern Michigan is ethereal, peaceful, and only a boat ride away at Mackinac Island-the perfect place for picturesque wedding photography! Located near Petoskey’s wedding photography industry, I had the pleasure of driving up the coast from Traverse City to be Alexa and Tom’s wedding photographer for the summer day. There ceremony took place on the rocky shores of the beach, with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan behind the alter. As the close and few friends and family gathered with Alexa and Tom, I realized how amazing and special it is to be blessed with an amazing location to have a wedding! Not only does the cute town of nearby Petoskey provide many intimate wedding details, but the vacation-atomosphere of Mackinac Island lets everyone relax and simply enjoy the wedding day and all the fun and excitement it has to offer! Part of that day was evident when my bride and groom even offered to get into the water-wedding dress and all-to be apart of the surrounding coastline. It meant a lot to Alex and Tom to be able to encompass Lake Michigan into their exchanging of vows-and I was only too eager to oblige! (how many brides WANT to get wet on their wedding day??!!) This day was amazing and despite the rapid summer heat-I enjoyed every moment of partaking in the photography of this lovely Mackinac Island wedding!
