Yes yes and yes! You should always do a hair and makeup trial before your wedding. Just because you found an undo on pinterest that you fell in love with, does not mean that it will look good on you or, more importantly, can be done with your hair. What most brides don’t realize, that that a lot of things go on behind the scenes of your hair, to help get those gorgeous looks. Hair extensions, sponges, and dirty hair are often key components to achieving these bridal looks, and your stylist won’t know what she needs, until she has a chance to play with your hair.
In terms of timing, it is best to do you hair and makeup at least 3 months before your wedding. I suggest this for 2 reasons; it gives you time to order hair extensions or other essentials if needed and two, it gives your face times to get healthy and clear again if you break out from the new makeup.
BONUS TIP: Schedule your hair and makeup trial for the day of your engagement photos! This give you an extra polished look for your pictures, gives you an idea of how your color and intensity of makeup holds up under the camera, and gives you an extra confidence boost during your session.
