With hundreds of different floral options (most of which have names you can’t pronounce), how can you create a bouquet of colors and textures that come together and still look amazing?
There are 3 essential design techniques you need, to create a gorgeous unique wedding bouquet that you will love!
1. Choose a Long, Flowing Ribbon
Many brides often concentrate only on the flower choices for their bouquets. But one of the best decisions you can make, to truly add class, style, and flair to your bouquet, is to have the stems wrapped in ribbon, and to have the strands flowing down at least 18-24 inches past the stems. This is a really cost-effective strategy to help your bouquets seem more expensive, and add in a stylized flair that help accent your dress, your wedding colors, and your overall theme. TIP: Choose 2 colors of ribbon – one for you, and one for your bridesmaids! Make sure they are complimentary of each other, and have one dominant color.
2. Choose a Cascade Bouquet
A Cascade bouquet is a style of flowers where the bouquet isn’t perfectly rounded, it has shoots, florals, vines, etc that fall out of the main area of flowers, to create a larger, more whimsical wedding bouquet. The types of florals or greens used to flow out of the bouquet are typically cheaper than the actual flowers, and can help our bouquet feel bigger and thus more expensive, than it actually cost you. It is also a trend for 2017 weddings, to hold a bouquet that is creative, unique, and whimsical for your special day!
3. Choose Various Textures
Most brides think of flowers as having soft petals and are typically round. Why not break the mold and choose a floral design that has more textures, angles, and greens than your traditional bouquet? Choosing a bouquet with several textures can help highlight your favorite “must-have” flower, and fill the remaining space with these extra textures that aren’t as expensive as the flowers. TIP: 2017 brides are choosing various types of succulents for their trendy wedding bouquets!
