The stage for wedding photographs in Traverse City, Michigan blossomed brilliantly under the newborn sun of summer-and it couldn’t have happened at a less than perfect moment – just in time for Aminda and Brandon’s wedding, nestled amongst the beautiful downtown area of Traverse City MI and Lake Michigan. I first met the Ohio-native couple when they visited these ethereal spots of Northern Michigan, preparing for all their wedding plans, including wedding photography. Needless to say, I was ecstatic when we all met at the Brew for beers and good company. For months I waited for their wedding to arrive, knowing that we would have more than just a blast, but that I would bear witness to one of the most unique, passionate, and simply stunning couples I have yet to meet. The wedding ceremony was attended by their closest friends and relatives in downtown Traverse City at Central Church alongside the brick and vine expanse of 8th street, which became one of my favorite vantage points after the vows and tears commenced at the church. Downtown Traverse City was the perfect ethereal background for Aminda and Brandon, as we traveled around Lake Michigan for their wedding photos, encompassing an ecletic-lit limo, state troopers along Old Mission Peninsula, and photo-crashers at the local marina-trust me, Aminda and Brandon now have a story to tell (minus the state trooper’s hand-cuffs!) Then it was on to the wedding reception at Visions, the premiere catering location alongside West Bay, Traverse City. We all laughed and cried as family and friends shared their adoration and support of this amazing couple – I had to wipe my eyes more than once as the love of lost ones was remembered. There was more love in one room for Aminda and Brandon than most can ever hope to feel in a lifetime. Their love filled the room, and touched each life that night with the passion, kindness, and respect that they have in their eyes for each other. Simply put, they taught each family member and friend, how to love in their life, just a little bit more…and that my friends, is what a marriage is truly about. Thank you, Aminda and Brandon. I wish you all the happiness in the world and I know that wherever your lives may take you, you will embark through the adventures hand in hand, knowing that with each other, you are stronger.
