As a wedding photographer, I commonly think that I’ve “seen it all.” And most days, while being crazy fun (sometimes emphasis on the crazy) go by in a blur and you’ve left standing at the end of your wedding, asking yourself “did that just happen? Am I really married?” But from the moment I walked into Ashley’s getting-ready suite at the Grand Traverse Resort, I knew that today’s wedding above all, would emulate her and Mason to a T…relaxed, upbeat, and classically elegant. I mean, when all of the bridesmaids are wrapped up in the coziest bed I’ve ever seen, casually hanging out (no stress, no worries) you are in for a great day!!! Actually, one of my favorite moments from the day happened almost right away, when a pillow or two were casually thrown, and from there, the classic pillow fight commenced!! And of course, they emerged still looking perfect as always!! Ashley & Mason continued with their First Look ( my ultimate favorite event during a wedding!) and meeting their friends and family down by the beach for their Lake Michigan wedding ceremony. Their blush pink and gold decor was elegantly decorated and continued on into their ballroom reception, where killer dancing, a second wedding dress, and the best Gluten Free cake ever emerged!! Thank you Ashley & Mason for a day that was for me, the whole reason why I became a wedding photographer in the first place – to work with killer couples like you!!!!
