Weddings in Northern Michigan come in all shapes, designs, and styles. But my favorite of favorites, are the weddings I have the privilege of photographing, that truly showcase the pure joy and adoration that the couple expresses. Along with their family and friends, Kristina and Steve’s destination wedding at Crystal Mountain showcased their love of having a big party to celebrate with their loved ones, with farm inspired decor to accent their simplistic and rustic love. Their blush, ivory an grey tones set a calm and peaceful tone, along with their unique setup of their ceremony site at the base of Crystal Mountain’s cabin village.
“We met on the first day of College. I was dating someone else, but Steven would throw rocks at my window and leave me notes. Finally a year later, I broke up with my previous boyfriend and went on a date with Steven. We went to his parent’s house and we made pancakes because I was craving them all week (it was so cute). We dated for 7 years and we had done 3 years long distance in between. One day, I came home from work, and when I walked in the door there were rose petals everywhere. I looked up and Steve had cooked a massive stack of pancakes. On the top was a ring. When I looked over, Steve was on his knee. It was so perfect for both of us. Now, 10 years later, we want to celebrate our lives so far and bring family together to celebrate with us. We are so excited!!”
