Destination weddings in northern Michigan are a truly magical event for both the bride and groom, and for their family and friends who get to experience and fall in love with Pure Michigan! And what better place to showcase this ethereal beauty, than at the Elberta Lifesaving Station in Elberta Michigan! Julie and Dennis’s beach wedding at Harbor Lights Resort in Frankfort, started with a rainy morning. But just in time for their nautical inspired wedding, the clouds parted and the sun was able to replace the grey skies. Directed and decorated by the talented Kristi Mills of Simply Exquisite By the Bay, this wedding was picturesque for gorgeous wedding photos, which ended at the beaches of Lake Michigan for some truly spectacular sunset wedding pictures.

Dennis and Julie met on a spur of the moment weekend trip to Vegas with a group of mutual college friends. Over time their love quickly grew and surpassed the many challenges of long distance due to Dennis’s Army career. After returning from deployment, Dennis and Julie moved to Colorado together where Dennis proposed in the mountains of Aspen. And although they reside in Colorado, Michigan will always be their home and they are very excited to get married on Lake Michigan! Julie spent her summers at her family cottage in Frankfort and together they have made many trips and fell in the love with the area.
