This summertime wedding was unlike any I have ever been to, and that’s saying something! And I’m not just talking about the fact that we started shooting at 6am…or the fact that we got to watch the sunrise come over the gardens where Kelsey & Ken got married…or that everything went off without a hitch! What I am still amazed at, and I remember vividly about this wedding in Michigan, is Ken’s face as he was his bride for the first time. Their First Look took place overlooking a small stream that flowed throughout the park of their ceremony site. It’s cool waters trickle softly in the background as Kelsey descended the path to her future husband. And when he turned around and saw her?? His face was utter perfection! It was equal parts adoration, surprise, and straight up love y’all! Throughout our entire bridal portraits, he just kept whispering “God, I love you!” as if he couldn’t quite believe that this was happening!! It was seriously the cutest thing I’ve ever heard!!! And the rest of the day went just as well! Although storms rolled in at the end of the day, we were completely safe, having completed a morning ceremony and a brunch for their reception earlier in the day!! Kelsey & Ken – thank you from the bottom of my heart for inviting me to partake in your beautiful day! Everything was perfect, from the handmade wedding decor, to your glowing smiles!! I feel so grateful to have met you!!!!
