This blog post is one of the hardest to write, but at the same time, so much fun!!! I mean, how in the world am I supposed to pick my top favorite images from an entire year of amazing, luxurious weddings??!! I am so blessed and grateful to have the most amazing Lux Light brides – who so often turn into friends!! It literally takes hours upon hours to go through each wedding to pick out my favorites, and I usually end up with over 200 that somehow, I have to pair down. Eek! But going through these images just reminds me, of exactly why I chose to be a wedding photographer in northern Michigan in the first place. The answer? Joy. Simply joy. Even though the majority of these weddings occurred 3-6 months ago, as I look back through these images, they spark such pure emotion!! I laugh. I cry. I sigh. I remember these “notebook worthy” moments that are so fleeting, that unless caught on my camera, could so easily be forgotten.

To all of my brides, grooms, and their wonderful families : thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to filling my life up with joy. You may not know this, but you are the reason that I wake up in the morning. You are the reason that I work 14+ hours a day, simply to make you happy. And in return, my life is filled with light. Your marriages inspire me. You teach me, how to be a better person, friend, wife, and puppy mama. To you, I say thank you!!!!
