Wedding photography in the fall of Northern Michigan is one of my favorite times of the year to take part in the perfect wedding. The fall colors light up pictures, turning the luscious forests of Northern Michigan into a picturesque wedding venue, especially in October at Forest Dunes Golf Course, one of the premiere Northern Michigan wedding venues (and certainly one of the most beautiful and accommodating towards guests and families!) Despite the light rain throughout the day, Emily and Dane glowed in this romantically simply wedding, focusing more on having a wonderful time with their families and friends than anything else. This relaxed atmosphere was enhanced by gorgeous floral arrangements by Parsonage Events (brides take note: they have the most stunning, elegant floral displays in all of Northern Michigan), the romantic soft lighting of dozens of candles, and the soft hustle of the river water that drifted by as Emily and Dane said “I do.” After the ceremony, the bridal party and I set out exploring the sandy banks of Northern Michigan, finding the perfect locations in the sand dunes, grasses, and colorful fields on the way to the reception. Lots of laughter ensued with some highly respectful interactions with metallic deer (commence giggles!) and then off to the reception at Forest Dunes Gold Coure, which was stunningly decorating with unbelievably stunning table arrangements. And the cake? To die for-by Bella e Dolce! Then it was on to the dancing and the hilarious moves that I envy! Thanks Emily & Dane for a fantastic day, and a wonderful wedding to photograph!
